More about the role: | Inspire Youth Zone is looking for a detached youth worker who can engage with young people aged 8 – 19 years old within the community. You will work to deliver positive youth work programmes that encourages appropriate behaviour and positive activities accessible for the age range. The role will include prometon of social action projects, with a particular aim to reduce anti-social behaviour through educating and engaging young people. You will be responsible for building a rapport with young people who are currently, or at risk of being, vulnerable as well as the promotion of local services, organisations and charities which can be accessed by young people. The job itself requires some detached work in local areas targeting areas with high anti-social behaviour disorders, as well as using our minibus as a transport option to allow young vulnerable people to regularly attend inspire from difficult to reach areas. |

More about the role: | The Recreation / Activity area is the heart of Inspire Youth Zone, acting as the social hub – it is an area where anything can happen. As a member of the team you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme in which anybody can participate. The role requires the creation of a space that is warm, welcoming, active and full of life and challenge. You will provide supervision and advice to young people and to supporting members of staff and volunteers. |

Inspire Youth Zone is a warm, welcoming and vibrant space where young people can come to socialise and build on skills….and ‘Be Tasty’ is our allocated teaching kitchen where young people can do just that. We are looking for someone who has great baking skills but who also has the passion and patience to teach our Junior Club members how to bake delicious cakes & treats.
We are looking for a dedicated person who can enhance our existing team of youth workers, who is passionate about working with young people and changing their lives.
