Inclusion/SEND

UPDATE!

As you know we have been offering our Sunday SEND sessions for both Lancashire Break Time and non- Breaktime members since April. From now on, we will be using our booking system. This can be done online through our website. Please do not just turn up on the day expecting a place as you may be disappointed. You will also be required to pay at the time of booking. The charge for Break Time members is £3.00 and non-Breaktime will now be £6.00. The cost for non-Breaktime members has had to increase, this is because we receive no additional funding for these young people, but we recognise that there is still the need for them to attend Inspire on a quieter and more suitable session. Booking is essential as this helps us to make sure we have appropriate staffing levels for the amount and needs of the young people attending.

If your young person currently attends on Sundays but would like to attend our mainstream sessions please email or telephone to make an appointment to discuss, we can in some cases transfer your Break Time hours to these sessions or look at a more tailored approach to suit your child’s needs. If you feel that your child may benefit from attending mainstream sessions but do not currently qualify for Breaktime please ask us what other sessions may be available.

At Inspire Youth Zone we believe that #everyyoungpersoncan.

That’s why our inclusion team are dedicated to providing support for all young people up to the age of 25 with a disability.

The team make sure that each and every young person who attends the youth zone can get involved in the activities they want to, regardless of their abilities.

We understand that some young people will have more specific needs to enable them to be able to access the same opportunities as others.

Our Approach

We have developed a model of working that takes into consideration any barriers that may prevent young people from joining in with activities and working to remove those barriers wherever possible.

We believe this approach should be inclusive of all abilities yet specific enough to cater for each individual.

We want to encourage and develop an environment so that we Invest, Include and INSPIRE young people in all the activities and opportunities we have available that’s why we offer a range of targeted support to attend activities as well as specific tailored SEND/Inclusion sessions.

In-Club is our Inclusion Club within Inspire Youth Zone for members aged 8 -25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Our Inclusive Club provides young people a safe space where they can relax, have fun, learn and socialise with other young people who they can relate to, have things and experiences in common, feel comfortable with and feel confident.

We are a Lancashire Breaktime provider.
