Over recent weeks, the window has become the centre point of solidarity and happiness as thousands of rainbows magically appeared overnight in people’s homes to convey messages of hope and to make people smile during this difficult time.
Local Chorley business ‘Windoworld’ has taken this message a step further by offering hope to thousands of local young people by choosing Inspire Chorley Youth Zone as their new Charity of the Year!
Windoworld provide an extensive range of UPVC windows, doors, conservatories and porches for your home and has generously pledged their support to Inspire by donating a percentage of their profits across the financial year.
Commenting on the new partnership, Windoworld Director, Ronnie Orr said: “Inspire Youth Zone is an incredible place, helping thousands of young people. Before lock-down I was fortunate to witness for myself their amazing facilities and I was blown away by the youth work that was underpinning all that they do”.
He added:”During this difficult time, I have been so impressed with the work that they continue to do to ensure all young people are still receiving the vital support they need as well as their ambition to help the wider community. As a business passionate about our local community we decided to show them our support and help to bring hope to Chorley’s next generation”.
Head of Fundraising, Karen Hunter said: “On behalf of everyone at Inspire, I’d like to say a huge thank you to Windoworld for this amazing gesture of support. As a community charity it’s been an incredibly difficult time for Inspire both adapting what we do to ensure our young people can still access the support they need and to have the funds available to do so”.
She added: “Despite the coronavirus outbreak, our dedicated team are working round the clock to make sure we can continue to support our young people. However, our biggest challenge right now is fundraising, as a direct result of the COVID-19 epidemic we’ve lost hundreds of thousands of pounds in income from pre-planned fundraising events. What is most evident is our young people need us more than ever and thanks to our friends across the business community we’re determined to be there”.
If your business can help us to be there for thousands of local young people, both now and in the future please email: Fundraising@InspireYouthZone.org or ring: 01257 228888.
