It’s hard to believe that Inspire has now entered its seventh year of opening its doors to the young people of Chorley. In that time, we’ve had the privilege of watching thousands of young people step into our space – some shy, some confident, some unsure, some ready to take on the world – but all growing into themselves through the support of our Green Team. Whether working alongside us within the building or out in the wider community, these young people have found their confidence, tried new things and shown everyone around them just how incredible they truly are.
The past few years have tested individuals, families and organisations in ways none of us could have predicted. This last year has brought challenges that have been felt deeply across the community. Yet through every difficulty, one constant has remained:
the strength, energy and resilience of Chorley’s young people. You keep showing up. You keep supporting each other. And no matter what is happening outside our doors, you continue to inspire us with your determination and hope.
Over the last two months, we’ve experienced the highest demand for our services since Inspire opened. But even in the busiest, most uncertain moments, young people continue to remind us why we do what we do. Through small acts of kindness, huge leaps of courage and the simple bravery of continuing to grow, you show us every day that the future is full of possibility.
Tonight is all about celebrating that.

The Inspired Awards recognise the achievements of young people who have overcome challenges, grabbed opportunities, supported others or simply kept going when things felt hard. These awards showcase everything that makes Inspire so special: a community of young people who look out for one another, dream big and make things happen.
To every nominee – congratulations. Every single one of you deserves to be here. Whether you’ve tried something new, helped a friend, led by example or shown courage in your personal growth, you have made a difference. You should be so incredibly proud of yourselves. We as staff are proud of each one of you and genuinely excited to see what your futures hold.

While celebrating our young people is always a privilege, your generosity has allowed us to create an extra special evening worthy of their achievements. Rebecca Mortimer Banks
Rebecca is an incredible young woman whose courage, determination and kindness shine through in everything she does. Whether helping with younger members, volunteering with our baby group or performing solo at Chorley Live, she always gives her best. She faces every challenge with strength and never lets fear hold her back. Rebecca inspires everyone around her through her quiet confidence and genuine warmth – she’s truly becoming the amazing person she’s meant to be.
Levi Peverall
It’s an absolute joy having Levi at Inspire. With a heart of gold, Levi is always first to help others, especially younger members in sports. Over the past year, his confidence and skills have grown so much. He throws himself into every challenge, gives 100%, and never complains. Levi’s positive attitude, determination, and support for others make him an incredible role model and a valued part of our Inspire family.
Leah
Leah is a bright, caring young person who makes everyone feel welcome. As a junior buddy, she helps new members settle in, always ensuring no one feels left out. Whether teaching staff new dances, helping tidy up, or supporting others around the building, Leah brings positivity wherever she goes. Her kindness, teamwork, and willingness to help others make her a true role model – we’re so proud of how much she’s grown.
A young person who brings fun, excitement, and kindness wherever they go. They inspire others to join in, try new things and makes every day brighter!
Kourtney Fennel
Kourtney shines in everything she does! Since joining Musical Theatre, her dedication and enthusiasm have been incredible – she gives her all in every rehearsal and performance, lighting up the stage with confidence and joy. As a Junior Buddy, she’s kind, supportive and always willing to help others. Kourtney brings positivity wherever she goes and inspires those around her to believe in themselves. We’re so proud of how she’s grown this year!
Charlie Jennings
Charlie’s energy lights up Inspire the moment he walks through the door! With his big grin and sense of humour, he brings fun to every session. He’s shown amazing growth – trying new things, taking on challenges and making brilliant choices for himself. Staff love seeing how far he’s come, his natural leadership and positivity make him a real role model. Charlie’s presence and kindness brighten every day for all around him.
Frederick Parker
Frederick is a joy to have at Inspire! Though quiet at first, his brilliant humour and playful energy always shine through. Whether it’s joining new activities or laughing through every tumble in roller-skating, his determination and positivity make sessions unforgettable. Watching his confidence grow has been wonderful – Frederick truly inspires others just by being his kind, joyful self.
A young person who always makes others feel welcome, works as a team, and helps everyone do their best showing what true support looks like!
Luis
Luis is a shining example of what it means to be kind, caring and dependable. As a Junior Buddy, he always helps new members feel welcome – offering support, encouragement and friendship. Whether showing someone around or joining in with enthusiasm, Luis gives his best every time. His quiet confidence and positive attitude make a real difference. He’s thoughtful, respectful and always ready to help. A true team player and role model to others.
Alex Barker
Alex is one of those young people who just makes Inspire. Always the first to lend a hand, he shows incredible care to others. Whether helping at events, supporting staff or encouraging others, Alex leads by example. His enthusiasm, resilience and determination inspire everyone around him. No matter what’s going on outside, he walks in with a smile and makes a difference. Alex truly embodies teamwork, kindness and heart.
Isaac Caunce
Isaac has a calm, thoughtful way of making everyone feel welcome. His kindness and quiet leadership bring comfort to others, especially new members. Whether inviting someone for a game or offering a chat, Isaac helps people feel included and valued. He doesn’t need to be loud to have an impact, his warmth and steady presence make a big difference. Isaac’s kindness and empathy make him a true Helping Hand.
A young person who brings energy, enthusiasm and positivity to every session. They make days more fun, engaging and inspiring for everyone!
Lucy Harriman
Lucy’s positivity and creativity shine in everything she does. A key part of the musical theatre group, she brings energy, fun and encouragement to every rehearsal. She’s kind, supportive and always helps others feel confident to be themselves. Lucy’s individuality and brightness inspires her peers to express their own passions too. Her enthusiasm makes every session more exciting, welcoming, and full of life – she’s an absolute joy to be around.
Taylor Eaves
Taylor brings unstoppable energy and positivity to every session! From the moment he arrives, his enthusiasm lights up the room. Taylor throws himself into every performance, rehearsal and activity, always cheering on his friends and encouraging others to join in. His confidence and passion have grown so much, inspiring those around him to do the same. Taylor’s kindness, creativity, and can-do attitude make him a true star who lifts everyone’s spirits.
Mostafa Saleh
Mostafa is a true ray of sunshine! Bursting with energy and confidence, he fills every session with laughter, music and dance. His positivity is infectious – whether he’s showing off his moves, sharing his favourite songs or making others smile just by being himself. Mostafa’s warmth, kindness and joy lift the whole room. He makes everyone feel included and reminds us how powerful it is to be unapologetically yourself.
A young person who’s always learning, trying new things and never afraid to take on a challenge and push themselves and others.
Ruby Preston
Ruby has shown incredible growth since first joining Inspire. Once shy and hesitant, she now walks in with confidence, creativity and a big smile! She throws herself into activities, always ready to help others feel welcome. Ruby’s positive attitude and imaginative ideas brighten every session, and her confidence grows with each visit. She’s proof that with courage and kindness, you can achieve anything – and she continues to amaze us every week.
Alfie Butterworth
Alfie is always ready to try something new and he dives into every challenge with determination and excitement. Whether it’s taking on enterprise projects, crafting or encouraging friends to join in, Alfie brings fresh ideas and positivity to everything he does. His confidence and creativity inspire others to have a go too. Alfie’s joy and drive make him a brilliant role model who reminds us to keep pushing our limits.
Spencer Broughton
Spencer’s energy and humour lights up every Thrive session. Always encouraging others to try new things, he leads by example – from stepping up to host Inspire’s Got Talent with confidence and laughter, to supporting younger members. He loves learning new skills, especially in the gym, and shares that enthusiasm with everyone. His leadership, positivity and courage to keep trying new things makes him truly limitless.
A young person who has shown real dedication when taking part in our Pathways. They’ve worked hard to grow their skills, stay focused, keep improving and shown real determination!
Carlie Cassidy
Carlie has shown incredible dedication and passion for musical theatre. She gives her all to every rehearsal, performance and role, inspiring others with her enthusiasm and positivity. As Dance Captain, she leads with confidence, kindness and energy, helping her peers shine too. Carlie’s commitment to improving her skills week after week is truly inspiring. She’s a natural leader whose hard work and joyful spirit make her an outstanding Pathway Pioneer.
Alex Walley
Alex continually throws himself into all opportunities with enthusiasm and determination. From completing the Snow Camp programme to joining our Fundraising Club and working toward his D of E Award, he’s always striving to grow and give back. Alex’s drive to create opportunities not just for himself but for others is inspiring. His positive attitude, creativity and commitment to every Pathway make him a real role model for his peers.
Max Biggs
Max’s dedication and passion shines through in everything he does. Whether performing at events, learning drums or progressing through Snow Camp, he gives 100% every time. His confidence has grown hugely, and he now helps others learn and feel supported. Max’s kindness, focus and willingness to keep pushing himself make him a true inspiration. He’s worked hard to build his skills and shows what determination and belief can achieve.
A young person who faced challenge and found the strength to push through, keep going, keep growing and came out the other side with confidence, courage and self-belief.
Vonte Osborne
Vonte has shown incredible courage and growth since joining Inspire. Moving from SEND to senior sessions, he’s faced challenges with determination and built amazing confidence along the way. Vonte now takes part in tournaments, make friends and try new activities with a smile. Even when things feel tough, Vonte keeps going, showing resilience, kindness and quiet strength. His journey is a true inspiration and proof of how far confidence and courage can take you.
Jonathan Shuck
Jonathan has made amazing progress during his time at Inspire. Once quiet and unsure, he’s now chatting confidently with staff, and getting stuck into activities he loves. Despite facing challenges, he’s shown strength and resilience. It’s inspiring to watch him grow in confidence, independence and positivity. Jonathan’s warmth and determination shine through.
Josh Charnock
Josh’s journey is full of determination and growth. Over the past year, he’s worked hard to manage challenges with patience and understanding, showing real maturity. His energy and enthusiasm now bring joy to every session, and he’s built great relationships with both staff and friends. Josh’s progress in self-regulation, teamwork and positivity makes us so proud.
A young person who engages through our detached programme. They’ve shown up with energy, respect and a willingness to grow.
Leoni Consterdine
Leoni brings kindness and creativity to every session. Her enthusiasm for arts, crafts and baking shines, but it’s her caring nature that really stands out. She’s always first to include others, making everyone feel welcome and valued. Leoni’s energy and empathy create a positive atmosphere wherever she goes. She gives 100% to everything she does and inspires others through her thoughtfulness and teamwork.
Oliver Brakewell
Oliver’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Once caught in a tough cycle, he’s turned things around through pure determination and effort. By re-engaging with Inspire, taking part in mentoring and even fundraising for us, Oliver has shown real strength and growth. He’s learned to stay calm, make positive choices and keep moving forward. Oliver proves that with patience, belief and resilience, change is possible – a true Local Legend.
Evie Woods
Evie has shown amazing growth and commitment at our Adlington Youth Group. She turns up every week full of energy and enthusiasm, always ready to help and get stuck in. From once being unsure to now brimming with ideas and confidence, Evie’s progress is incredible. Her positivity lifts the group, and her hard work, both in sessions and at school, shows real determination.
A young person who inspires others, leads with positivity and shows the potential to shape the future.
Cori Barnes
Cori has shown amazing growth and maturity this year. Returning to the D of E with determination, he’s shown real focus and commitment. Through the Young Leaders programme, his confidence has flourished – Cori now speaks up, supports others and brings warmth to every session. He leads with kindness and positivity, checking in on others spreading encouragement wherever he goes. His compassion and perseverance show true leadership and a bright future ahead.
Savannah Fogg
Savannah shines in everything she does. Passionate, determined, and full of energy, she leads by example in every area – from sports and arts to volunteering and more. She’s played a key role in events like Mudfest and proudly represents Inspire in football, netball and community projects. Savannah’s confidence, empathy and leadership inspire everyone around her. She’s dedicated, hardworking and a natural role model.
Riley Holden
Riley brings incredible positivity and leadership to every session. Whether taking part or supporting others as a young leader, he creates a welcoming space where everyone feels included. Riley leads by example, encouraging peers, cheering others on and inspiring confidence through his kindness and enthusiasm. His maturity and passion for helping others shines through in everything he does. Riley’s energy, empathy and encouragement make him a true inspiration and one to watch.
A young person who’s the first to take a step, try something new and open the door for others to follow.
Chloe Pennington
Chloe’s energy and courage make her a true trailblazer. From scoring the winning goal at the President’s Cup to taking on creative challenges and joining the Sports Leadership programme, she gives her all in everything she does. Though quiet at first, her confidence shines once you know her – she’s polite, driven and fearless in trying new things. Chloe proudly represents Inspire’s spirit of teamwork, bravery and growth, lighting the way for others to follow.
Amber-Rose Spear
Amber-Rose’s journey in climbing has been incredible to watch. From once struggling to leave the ground to now confidently tackling graded climbs, she’s shown pure dedication and determination. She embraces feedback, pushes her limits and faces every challenge with courage and focus. Amber-Rose’s growing confidence and commitment to improving herself inspire everyone around her. She’s proof that with perseverance and passion, you can reach new heights – in climbing and beyond.
James Astley
James is the definition of a trailblazer – full of enthusiasm, drive and commitment. Whether on the football pitch, taking part in the Sports Leadership Award or volunteering as a Young Leader, he gives 100% every time. He’s always the first to step up, support others and face challenges with a positive attitude. James’s energy, kindness and determination make him a brilliant role model who leads by example.

Saskia West
Saskia’s journey shows what true strength looks like. From once finding it hard to engage, to now taking ownership, showing kindness, and supporting others – her growth has been remarkable. She stands up for what’s right, reaches out when she needs help and never stops trying to improve. Saskia has faced huge challenges but continues to show resilience, determination and heart. She’s proof that with courage and support, you can turn obstacles into opportunity.
Billy Watson
Billy is pure positivity and perseverance. Despite facing challenges, he never stops smiling or giving his all. His dedication to learning earned him a scholarship through the Bolton School Flourish Programme – a life-changing achievement made possible by his hard work and resilience. Billy pushes himself to grow every day and is proof that determination, kindness and belief can open doors to an incredible future.
Sofia Moroney
Sofia’s courage and positivity shine through in everything she does. Even after a difficult year, she’s worked hard to find healthy ways to cope, rebuild her confidence and keep showing up with her bright, caring energy. She’s always willing to help, lifts others with her humour and kindness, and continues to focus on creating a positive future for herself. Sofia’s strength, openness and resilience make her an inspiration to everyone around her.

Inspire wouldn’t be the same without her!
Sophie
Sophie is an incredible volunteer whose kindness and energy brighten every session. Always going above and beyond, she helps new young people feel welcome, gives tours and offers support wherever it’s needed – all with her bubbly, positive attitude. Her commitment and genuine care make a huge difference to Saturday Juniors. Sophie leads with kindness, makes everyone feel included and has become an essential part of the Inspire family. We’re so lucky to have her.
Jake
Jake is an outstanding volunteer who gives his time, energy and heart to Inspire. From mentoring young people to helping at events, he’s always ready to step up and support others. His dedication extends to the Adlington satellite, where he makes sure everyone feels included and valued. Jake’s kindness, reliability and willingness to go the extra mile show how much he cares. Josie’s determination and belief in what Inspire stands for have made a real difference. In just a year, she’s helped build lasting partnerships and secure vital support for our work. Through pure dedication, she’s brought local people and businesses together to back young people’s futures. Josie reminds us that Inspire isn’t just what happens in sessions – it’s also about building the community that makes it all possible.
Lisa
Lisa’s passion for young people shines in everything she does. With her Scran Van adventures, she’s taken Inspire on the road, serving hot meals, laughter and opportunities across Chorley. Her energy and creativity have turned local parks and neighbourhoods into spaces of connection and fun. Leading our Adlington satellite, she brings the same energy to every young person she meets. Lisa’s drive and belief make sure no one is ever left behind.

Georgia Weatherston
Georgia brings empathy, laughter and positivity to every session. She’s the first to comfort a friend, encourage others to join in, or throw herself into a wild new idea with a smile. Her kindness and confidence have grown beautifully – she speaks up, shares ideas and leads with compassion. Georgia balances fun with care, helping others feel valued and supported. She’s the perfect reflection of the Spirit of Inspire.
Jack Jones
Jack quietly embodies everything Inspire stands for. A natural leader and team player, he gives 100% effort in every sport and supports his teammates with maturity and respect. As captain of the senior football team, he leads calmly and encourages others to do the same, even in tough moments. Loyal, positive and always ready to help, Jack represents Inspire with pride – a true role model who lives our values every day.
Delta Glover
Delta is full of energy, kindness and confidence – a shining example of what Inspire is all about. A dedicated member of our musical theatre group, she brings enthusiasm and laughter to every session. Always ready to help and lift others up, Delta’s positive attitude inspires everyone around her. Whether performing on stage or representing Inspire at the President’s Cup, she gives her all. Delta truly radiates the Spirit of Inspire.

Matt Hirst is the CEO of leading energy technology provider ESG with over 700 staff and operations in the USA, Canada and the UK. ESG’s UK headquarters are based in Chorley, Lancashire.
ESG empowers global leaders in energy to deliver on the future promise of energy through its SAAS solutions for Customer and Market Data Management and Smart Metering. Matt has a background in Sales and Marketing and led a MBO of UK company Utiligroup in 2014 before it was acquired by ESG in 2017 and has been with the business for 24 years. Matt won an EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2016 as well as being a judge in 2018 and in 2017 his team was awarded the UK Regional and National Mid Market Management Team of the Year awards by the BVCA. Matt holds a BSc (Hons) degree from The University of Salford and a MBA from Lancaster University.
