At Inspire Chorley Youth Zone, we help thousands of children and young people who call Chorley home.

Open when schools are closed, we provide an inspirational environment for our 5,000 young members and for some, a critical lifeline.

More than a ‘youth club’ Inspire Youth Zone provides an opportunity to make new friends, enjoy a nutritious hot meal and escape the pressures of normal life to focus on what makes them happy. 

Providing over 100 activities each week for all young people, regardless of ability or disability, we’re sharing skills, building confidence and creating positive experiences. Resulting in both happier, safer and healthier young people and a community the whole of Chorley can be proud of.

But we need your help to continue...

To keep our doors open 40 hours a week, 7 days a week it costs £1.2 million every year and with no statutory funding, we’re urging the business community to join us and stand up for Chorley’s next generation.

Aside from fundraising for us, businesses can help transform the lives of young people in many ways:

  • Donate equipment: save the planet and give your old tech to help young people who don’t have access to the tech they need for school and work

MATTHEW HIRST

Matt Hirst is the CEO of leading energy technology provider ESG with over 700 staff and operations in the USA, Canada and the UK. ESG’s UK headquarters are based in Chorley, Lancashire.

 

ESG empowers global leaders in energy to deliver on the future promise of energy through its SAAS solutions for Customer and Market Data Management and Smart Metering. Matt has a background in Sales and Marketing and led a MBO of UK company Utiligroup in 2014 before it was acquired by ESG in 2017 and has been with the business for 24 years. Matt won an EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2016 as well as being a judge in 2018 and in 2017 his team was awarded the UK Regional and National Mid Market Management Team of the Year awards by the BVCA. Matt holds a BSc (Hons) degree from The University of Salford and a MBA from Lancaster University.
