Lancashire Entrepreneur inspired to support young people after Kensington Palace even

Award-winning property developer, David Price, was inspired to support young people in the town of Chorley after attending OnSide Youth Zone’s Gala Dinner at Kensington Palace Gardens, in the presence of HRH Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex.

Hosted by comedian David Walliams, the event saw over 400 guests unite in celebration of young people and their achievements as a result of OnSide Youth Zones, a charity that aims to give every young person across the country somewhere safe and inspiring to go in their leisure time.

David, Founder of 10ACIA, one of the North West’s leading design and development companies, started his journey with OnSide Youth Zones when he began volunteering as a mentor in his early 20’s.

Already passionate about the impact Youth Zones can make in their communities, David was captivated to hear The Duke of Sussex give a rousing speech about how he too truly believes Youth Zones can change the lives and aspirations of young people across the country.

Inspired to be a part of the extraordinary OnSide Youth Zones movement which has gained the support of influential business leaders across the country, David became a Founder Patron of his local Youth Zone in Chorley, agreeing to the generous donation of £75,000 over three years. Being involved with the town of Chorley, David looks forward to being involved in supporting local young people to raise their aspirations, develop their entrepreneur skills and achieve their full potential through Inspire Youth Zone, a brand-new charity currently reaching over 3,500 young people.

David Price, Director of 10ACIA said “The Gala Dinner in the gardens of Kensington Palace is a night I won’t forget in a hurry. I was lucky enough to speak with Prince Harry, but I met so many like-minded people who have a true passion for supporting the country’s young people. If we’ve been lucky enough to have support in life to help progress to where we want to be, we have a duty to help others do the same, and give a little back. Even if it was just that one person – that can change someone’s whole world.

I initially volunteered as a mentor at Bolton Lads and Girls Club and saw the stark difference Youth Zones make. It can turn a young person’s life around 180. I’d love to see a Youth Zone in every town – this movement starts by supporting your local Youth Zone which is why I became a Founder Patron of Chorley’s Inspire Youth Zone.”

Janine Blythe, Chief Executive of Inspire Youth Zone said “At the age of 30 David has become a successful entrepreneur by following his dreams. From humble origins he is now leading a successful company that has the capacity to make a huge charitable donation to Inspire Youth Zone, he is a true role model and inspiration to our members. 10ACIA’s donation will support the next generation of budding entrepreneurs from Chorley to follow their dreams too, we cannot thank David enough for his support”.
