Inspire Youth Zone’s Golf Day 2019

On Thursday 22nd August 2019, Inspire Youth Zone will be hosting its annual charity golf day to raise funds for the young persons service as it enters its second year of operation.

The event, hosted at Shaw Hill Golf Club, will consist of a shotgun start at 1pm with a range of prizes up for grabs and will finish with entertainment, a 3 course dinner and a charity auction at the evening event.

The last golf day in aid of Inspire took place before the Youth Zone officially opened in May 2018, raising £9,500 and hosting 23 teams.

For this years event, Founder Patrons of the Chorley Youth Zone – Chorley Group – have generously donated prizes for each of the par 3 holes on the day should a contestant successfully score a hole in one.

These prizes include; a brand new car; a three night stay for two at 5* Praia D’El Rey Marriott Golf & Beach Resort in Portugal including flights from the UK, half board accommodation, car hire & two rounds of golf; a two night stay for four at Marriott Forest of Arden including half board accommodation & two rounds of golf for four based on two sharing each room; and a set of F7 Graphite Irons Combo Set (5 Hybrid & 6-GW) & OS Daytona Putter.

Simon Penketh, Major Donor Fundraiser at Inspire and registered member at Shaw Hill Golf Club said: “We’re so excited to host this event in aid of such an incredible cause.

“Inspire Youth Zone has been changing the lives of young people in Chorley for the past 12 months and we need as much help as we can get to ensure we’re able to continue delivering the best results and activities for our members.

“This golf day is set to be one of the best Shaw Hill has seen in recent years so if you haven’t registered a team yet – you really should!”

In addition to team registration, businesses and individuals can sponsor the event in a range of different ways from sponsoring a hole to becoming a headline sponsor for the whole event.
