EPIC is our innovative and exciting Engagement, Project and Intervention Curriculum where young people can gain qualifications, skills and receive a full wrap around support.
We are dedicated to delivering enriching learning opportunities through a range of projects that inspires, educates and empowers young people to take control of their lives and reach their full potential, whilst also promoting social cohesion, community engagement and positive social outcomes.
EPIC projects are designed to help young people develop their skills, confidence and resilience, as well as to provide them with opportunities to engage in positive activities and relationships. Many of our projects are by referral only and can focus on a range of issues such as education, employment, mental health, substance abuse, family issues and social inclusion.
See the list below for our current active EPIC Projects!
Our sessions can be Juniors (aged 8 – 11), Seniors (11 – 19, up to 25 with Additional Needs) and sometimes mixed.
Not at all! We are aware that some schools don’t finish till later and getting here for 3:30pm could be a challenge. Our amazing Youth Workers are taking late arrivals into consideration and have planned their EPIC Projects accordingly. If you’re expected to be arriving later, please let the project coordinator know.
We’re looking for young people to commit to each Project for their full duration as each Project has been created with a specific outcome. Whether that’s a reward, a goal, a fixture or performance. Unless specifically advertised for more places, you will need to email our coordinator team to ask for availability.
There is a 30 minute break after EPIC and before session starts. For Junior members, this is a wonderful opportunity for them to grab some hot meal for just £1 and have a chat. Senior members will be required to leave the building until Universal session starts. If you’d like to stay for session, you can pay your additional 50p.
We’d love to have an all-singing and all-dancing booking system available however as a Children’s Charity we have to be cautious on how we use the funds we have. We have a fantastic team of Coordinators who are responsible for their projects and they’d be very happy to help you via email! Don’t worry if you weren’t quick enough to book, we’re running multiple cohorts of each Project and creating waiting lists.
